Daughter rescued from red light area, mother booked
NAGPUR: Crime branch on Tuesday raided red light area in Ganga Jamuna and took a woman into custody from a brothel where her daughter and niece, both apparently minor, were found working as commercial sex workers. Three girls, including the woman's kin, were rescued during the raid.
Police sources said that a Pune-based non-government organization (NGO) had passed on information to the additional commissioner of police (crime) Ravinder Kadam regarding minors being involved in the flesh trade. tnn

The brothel, owned by an Agra-based woman, was stormed by the police in the evening. The woman apparently tried to sneak away with the minor but was trapped. One of the girls rescued from the racket hails from Kolkata, said a senior cop. The minors were sent to the remand home after a medical examination.
The woman brothel-keeper was brought to the Lakadganj police station where she was placed under arrest and charged with sections of Immoral Prevention of Trafficking Act. TOI
